About Tania

At Better Than Bitter™️, I believe that life’s events happen for you, not to you. This mindset guided me through my own divorce. I realized that while divorce may not be a choice, how you approach it is entirely within your control. Viewing it as an opportunity for growth and transformation can make all the difference.

Divorce is uncharted territory—we often feel alone, uncertain about the future, and worried about our children. Many see divorce as a failure, but that’s a perspective you can choose to change. I chose to see it differently. Instead of dwelling on what I hadn’t done or should have done, I came to understand that divorce often reflects the other person's needs and where they are in their life, something beyond my control. But what was within my control was how I approached my own divorce.

The process of divorce is undoubtedly challenging, but I stayed focused on a brighter future. I made it a priority to be strong, courageous, and clear about what I wanted for my children and myself. You too have the power to view this bump in the road as either a major setback or an opportunity for personal growth. The choice is yours.

Through my own journey of grieving and growth, I realized how many people going through divorce need support and guidance. I firmly believe we all owe it to our children to divorce amicably. Personally, I went through my emotional divorce during the mediation process, and I saw how important it was to be prepared emotionally before entering into a legal divorce. Acceptance and equipping oneself with the right tools can lead to a clear mindset, fostering peace and amicability, especially when you’re striving to become incredible co-parents for your children.

I let go of the "why" and focused on what truly mattered—the well-being of my children. This child-centered approach is what motivated me to advocate for amicable divorces, so children can be spared from the pain of contentious litigation. I made it my mission to be part of the solution, not the problem.

I believe that children are the ones who suffer most from the stigma of divorce. While we should commit fully to working on our marriages, we must also recognize that change and growth are part of being human. If life paths diverge, divorce doesn’t have to be a negative experience; it’s how we approach it that determines the outcome. There should be no shame in making changes to live a fulfilled life.

Sharing my experience of achieving a positive, amicable divorce and how preparation for mediation can ease the discomfort of the legal process is what drives my passion. As an entrepreneur, I am motivated to create meaningful, impactful solutions, and helping others navigate the complexities of divorce aligns with my purpose. Paying it forward is central to my life philosophy. I believe that success is measured by what we give, not by what we receive. I find immense joy in helping others achieve their goals and in sharing the wisdom and experience I’ve gained. By focusing on giving, I know I can make a positive impact on others and help them achieve the outcomes they desire.
